The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be stopping in Rochester on Sunday, December 7, from 6-6:45 p.m.

The brightly decorated train will stop at the end of 16th Ave. NW behind Mickey's Irish Pub next to Barlow's Hy-Vee.

The 30-minute live musical presentation is free, but people are encouraged to bring nonperishable food stuff.

The Holiday Train is in its tenth year and will once again collect food and money for local food banks and raise an awareness in the fight against hunger.

The Juno award winning singer/songwriter Melanie Doane and Canadian rocker Shaun Verreault of Wide Mouth Mason fame will perform on the United States train. Another train will travel across Canada.
