High school students no more, the seniors of Byron donned caps and gowns, listened to speeches before walking on stage and walking out into the "real world."
This year's graduates found great success both in the classroom and out of it.
Technology wise, the Class of 2014 was on the cutting edge, the first senior class of Byron to use iPads as part of their curriculum.
The district piloted the seventh grade iPad program last school year and extended it from seventh through 12th grades for 2013-2014.
In extracurricular activities, the achievements were numerous.
The boys basketball squad just missed a repeat berth to state.
Track sent a score of athletes to state once again, while the boys golf team made it as well.
In addition, six Byron speech students earned a spot at the state competition. More graduation coverage will appear in next week's edition of The Byron Review.
