The Dodge County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call, Tuesday afternoon from a Dodge Center Maintenance worker that the roof had collapsed on the Dodge Center old maintenance building and there were two people trapped inside. The Dodge Center Fire Department, Dodge Center Ambulance and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
One of the workers inside the building walked out without assistance and the other worker was inside the cab of the loader he was working in. He was not injured, but the Fire Department needed to cut part of the collapsed building away to free him.
The workers were preparing the building to be torn down as it was scheduled for demolition on Monday of next week. No one was injured and it is unknown the amount of damage to the loader at this time.
