Nash arrested on drug charges

Luke Nash, Mantorville, was arrested on March 15, on a Fifth Degree Drug Possession charge.
According the complaint during the week on March 7, Kasson Police Department Investigator Jesse Reding was contacted by a confidential informant who informed him that Luke Nash had contacted him to purchase an "eight ball" of methamphetamine for $200. The complaint states the informant told him that they had agreed to meet and do the deal on Friday, March 8, 2013. The informant said later in the week that Nash backed out of the deal stating that his wife raided his cash.
According to the complaint during the week of March 12, the informant contacted Nash to see if he would have cash and Nash agreed to purchase 1.7 grams of methamphetamine for $125.
A controlled buy was set up with the informant and Nash at Erdman's in Kasson on Friday, March 15. During the buy the informant sold the Defendant 1.7 grams of meth. Nash was then transported to the Steele County Detention Center and held for court on Monday, March 18. Nash posted $10,000 unconditional bail and was released. He will appear in court again on March 27.
