Uncle Mony's Restaurant and Spare Time Lanes in Hayfield will be hosting the first annual "Rainbows for Carly" on October 12, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Rainbows for Carly is being held in memory of Tom Monahan's late niece Carly who died unexpectedly last October.
The event will have a 9 pin No-Tap Bowling Tournament, two silent auctions; one ending at 5 p.m. and another at 10 p.m. A beanbag tournament will be from 12 to 5 p.m., face painting and crafts for the kids will be available from 12 to 5 and Highway 30 DJ will play from 8 until close.
The bowling tournament will have five different shifts, starting at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3, 6 and 9. There will be five different divisions of blowers, men's, women's and three kids. Bowler scores will be kept and placed in their proper division at tournament close. It is possible that all five divisions may be bowling on the lanes during any or of the all the shift times, this will allow for families to all bowl together. The cost of the tournament is $20 per bowler. The money raised from the event will be donated to ARC of Southeastern Minnesota.
