11/5/2013 3:59:00 PM Two charged in Dodge County Burglary
On October 31, 2013 at about 7:00 AM, the Dodge County Sheriff's Office received a report that a rural business, east of Kasson, had been broken into. The business, Creative Modular Concepts, 26838 County Road 34, Kasson, MN, was missing over $10,000.00 worth of power tools and equipment.
Dodge County Sheriff's deputies reviewed surveillance video from the business and were able to identify the two suspects in the video as previous employees at the business. They were also able to match a vehicle in the video to one that is currently registered to one of the suspects. The first suspect was located later on October 31st at an apartment in Southeast Rochester. The suspect was arrested without incident outside of the apartment with the assistance from the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office. At the time of the arrest, the vehicle used in the burglary along with a trailer used to store the stolen property, was seized by Dodge County Investigators. Later that night Olmsted County deputies assisted in recovering a large gravity table saw that the suspects had hidden in a wooded area behind a Rochester business.
The second suspect was identified and located at a house in Northwest Rochester. He was arrested on Friday November 1st , without incident, with assistance from the Rochester Police Department.
The first suspect was identified as Phillip Steven Nichele, DOB/ 12-19-1973. He appeared in Dodge County District Court on November 1st and was charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and Felony Theft. He is being held in Steele County Adult Detention Center on $15,000.00 unconditional bail/ $7,500.00 conditional bail for the burglary.
The second suspect, Andrew Lee Gaskill, DOB/ 9-11-1984 appeared in Dodge County District Court on November 1st also and was charged with 3rd Degree Burglary and Felony Theft. He too is being held in the Steele County Adult Detention Center on $20,000.00 unconditional bail/ $10,000.00 conditional bail for burglary.
