11/19/2013 1:29:00 PM Hayfield says NO to feral cats
Despite a story that ran in the Friday Post-Bulletin, Hayfield does not have a rodent problem and does not want feral cats returned to the city.
In a story regarding an Eyota city council meeting, Michelle Quandt of Camp Companion reportedly said Hayfield had gotten rid of its feral cat population and is now asking people to bring feral cats because of a rodent problem at its grain elevator.
Hayfield city officials said Monday that this is not true, the city does not have a rodent problem and it does not want anyone dropping off cats in the city.
Quandt was asking Eyota's council to hire her organization to sterilize feral cats in the city rather than eradicate them.
