SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES
Tuesday, December 17, 2013-6:00 p.m.

Members present: Matt Prigge, Chris Douglas, Faith Hollasch, Paul Daley, Peggy Harris, Peggy Morris, Tessa Olive. Members absent: None
Dale Thomforde, New Haven Township Clerk, discuss the March 11, 2014, special election, which will be held on the same date as the regular township meetings.
Approved agenda with the addition of designating Deb Brown as Election Clerk for Special Election
Approved consent agenda including: communications; November 18, 2013, minutes; treasurer's report; wire transfers totaling $1,430,176.52; claims and bills; donations from United Way, Interstate Studio, People's Coop; open enrollment agreements for four students who have been attending Byron Schools but moved out of the district; contract revision for Josh Burton, Brady Olson and Amanda Heman; 2013-14 and 2014-15 contracts for Abe Rodemeyer and Mike Duffy; resignation from Laura Forsch
Approve policy revisions as suggested by MSBA including 524 Internet Acceptable Use and Safety Policy, 532 Use of Peace Officers and Crisis Teams to Remove Students With IEP's From School Grounds, 707 Transportation of Public School Students, 709 Student Transportation Safety Policy, 802 Disposition of Obsolete Equipment and Material and new policies 711 Video Recording on School Buses and 712 Video Surveillance Other Than on Buses
Approved revised 2013-2014 budget as presented
Approved Truth in Taxation information and set the 2013 Payable 2014 levy at $3,258,465.10
Adopted Resolution Relating To The Issuance of School Building Bonds and Calling an Election Thereon
Chair Matt Prigge shared a summary of the annual school board self-evaluation Overall the evaluation was very positive.
Appointed Deb Brown as Election Clerk for the March 11, 2014, Special Election
