NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON INTENTION TO ISSUE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS AND

AMEND THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN

DODGE COUNTY, MINESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Board of the County of Dodge, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at a meeting of the County Board beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m., Central Time, in the Boardroom of the County Courthouse, 22 Sixth Street East, Mantorville, Minnesota, 55955, relating to (a) the County's intention to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,900,000 under Minnesota Statutes, Section 373.40, and (b) the proposal to amend the county's associated capital improvement plan. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to finance improvements to County Buildings.

A copy of the documents proposed to be considered at the hearing will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the County Administrator at the Dodge County Courthouse.

All interested persons may appear at the April 22, 2014 public hearing and present their views on the intention to issue bonds orally or in writing. Individuals unable to attend the public hearing can make written comment by writing to Jim Elmquist, County Administrator, 22 Sixth Street East, Department 31, Mantorville, Minnesota 55955. Written comments must be received prior to the public hearing.

If a petition requesting a vote on the issuance of bonds is signed by voters equal to five percent of the votes cast in the County in the last general election and is filed with the County Auditor or clerk of the County Board within 30 days after the public hearing, the bonds may only be issued upon obtaining the approval of a majority of the voters voting on the question of issuing the bonds.
