Lorraine I. Nolan of Dodge Center, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth in Rochester.
No service is planned at her request. The body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date.
Lorraine I. Witt was born January 6, 1927 to George & Inez Witt, on the family farm in rural Claremont. She graduated from Dodge Center High School on May 28, 1945. She then moved to Richmond, California. Lorraine married Bernard J. Nolan on October 29,1946 at the St. Columbus Catholic Church in Oakland, California. In 1948 they returned to Minnesota.
Mrs. Nolan was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She also spent many years teaching Religious Education class, which she really enjoyed.
Survivors include three sons - Michael of Dodge Center, Mark (Carol) of Tacoma, Washington, Mathew of Wiggins, Mississippi and a daughter - Dorothy (George) Gerringer of San Bernardino, California. Seven grandchildren - two of which she and her husband raised Christopher & Alexander, 10 great grand children. Two brothers Dalon of Dodge Center & Ivan (Mary) of Rose Creek.
