Vikings bowling team has time to spare

The Vikings bowling team started out their season September 7 at Rec Lanes in Rochester. Varsity lost the first match (best 3 out of 5) to Rochester Mayo. The team won two of the five games.

The second match of the day was against Rochester J.M. was also a loss, with the Vikings only winning two of the five games.

• Logan Monahan had the highest fill percentage with 76% and 14 strikes for the two matches. Jacob Steiner and Grace Walker were second with 75%.

September 14 the Vikings traveled to Austin to take on the Rochester Century Panthers where they put one in the win column!



• The team was led once again by Logan Monahan with eleven strikes and a couple spares for 92% fill rate in the first match. Grace Walker followed with 90%.

The Stewartville Tigers handed the Vikings another loss in the second match 4 games to 1.

• Logan Monahan led the team with another 9 strikes.

• Alyssa Monahan and Jackson Churchill had the highest fill percentage with 87%.

The Vikings travel to Red Wing on September 21.

The Junior Varsity team are 2 and 2 so far this season. They are in the top 20 in the state for team average this early in the season.

So far the team has been led by Tanner Becvar with 86% and Ricky Linsky with 80%.
