"The boys played really well," Coach Adam Girtman said following the game on the road with Hayfield on Friday night. "They played a lot better this week."

The Cobras lost 76-41.

"They really took it to us in the first half," Coach Girtman said. "They out worked us, out hustled us and out executed us. We played with more effort, better attitudes and more intensity in the second half."

Brad Meyers was Triton's leading scorer with 10 points. Garrett Dahms had 7; Braedon Dostal, 7; Matt Bermea, 4; Cam Marquardt, 4; Jax Bryngelson, 4; Alex Finne, 3; Isaiah Wannarka, 2.

Coach Girtman said that the Cobras' game with Kasson-Mantorville on Tuesday was their best game of the year, in spite of losing 59-48.

"It was probably a 4 point game with three minutes left," he said. "The kids played pretty well. They moved the ball well and they hustled. We have just a few things we have to refine. It's still early in the year. We have the rest of the year to get better."

Zach Otto led the Cobras' scoring with 14 points. Cam Marquardt had 12; Isaiah Wannarka, 9; Brad Meyers, 6 points and 3 assists; Alex Finne, 4 points and 5 rebounds; Garrett Dahms, 3 points and 8 rebounds.

The Cobras have three home games next week - with Randolph on Tuesday, with Southland on Thursday, which is a double header with the girls beginning at 5:30, with the junior varsity playing in another gym and with Byron on Friday.
