The top picture is from the fifth and sixth grade Academic Triathlon teams at the first meet of the year in Kasson. There have been three meets so far, with the fourth and final regional meet held last Friday in Byron.

The second meet was in Hayfield, and the third meet was in Stewartville.

Byron has done very well at all the meets so far. If any teams placed first Friday, the Bears will go on to compete at the state meet April 13. Results were not available by press time.

The bottom picture is from one of the competitions in the Kasson meet. A team is given a box of props and an agenda to follow.

The one for this picture was animals working together to solve a problem. Matthew Willits is pictured using tinfoil as fins to represent he is a fish.
