Three teachers' resignations were accepted during the Hayfield School Board meeting on Tuesday, March 12.
English teacher Lynn Wanzek served the district for 36 years, Deb Wilk, an elementary school teacher, served the district for 34 years and Sheila Donahue, a high school teacher, has been with the district for 22 years. All plan on retiring at the end of the school year. The board thanked all three for their years of service to the district.
Ron Evjen reported to t the board that the state will be giving the schools 82.5% of every dollar that is owed to the district and they will not have to borrow money this year to cover operating expenses.
The board also approved hiring Levi Price, a science teacher, from March 11 to April 26 for a teacher that is currently on maternity leave.
The board approved the integration budget of $49,914 for 2013-2014 school year; approved payment of the bills and heard an enrollment update.
