Meet us at the school and join in the fun; we currently have 160 preregistered walkers and runners and are looking forward to a great morning. Registration begins at 8:45a.m. and the cost is $20. All proceeds will benefit the Open Arms Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention program.
Festivities will continue on Tuesday, October 1 with the crowning of our 2013 King and Queen. Coronation will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Triton. Families and community members are welcome to join us. Juniors Brandi Johnson and Preston Pflaum will host the event, and this year's court includes seniors Kate Blaisdell, Lexi Bryngelson, Sara Bucher, Emily Hodgman, Mackenzie Robinson, Christy Utech, Braedon Dostal, Lucas Etchason, Alex Hoberg, Evan McNeilus, Bradley Myers, and Patrick Ramirez.
Students will participate in activities during the school day on Wednesday and Thursday with opportunities to compete in tug of war and a volleyball tournament. Friday, high school students will join the elementary and middle school students for pep fests in the morning before the high school celebrates Triton with their afternoon pep fest. The Cobras will battle the Dover Eyota Eagles at 7:00pm Friday on the football field. Festivities will wrap up on Saturday with the semi-formal Homecoming Dance for high school students from 8-11 p.m. in the Triton cafeteria.
Homecoming buttons will be available beginning Wednesday for $2. Support the Cobras by purchasing a button from a student council member or in any of the school offices.
