8/12/2014 12:17:00 PM Letter to the editor in response to Key Stone Cops magazine article
I must respond to a magazine article distributed to all the households of Dodge County that made reference to the operations of the county as analogous to the Keystone Cops. This article is a farce and also an insult to all the citizens of Dodge County. This article was written by a bitter person who's false accusations, blatant disregard to complete facts and incongruent arguments has inspired me to retort.
As a prior military officer and veteran, I pledged allegiance to my fellow citizens to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The person who willfully wrote and distributed this article is in my mind an enemy of all that is good with our county. I am proud to be a citizen of Dodge County. I also am a County Commissioner but write this reaction as a private citizen and in no way is this response sanctioned by the County. I have found Dodge County to be an excellent place to live, prosper and raise a family. I have found the employees of Dodge County to be honest, sincere and truly dedicated to make Dodge the best county in the State. Do they make mistakes? Yes, just like all of us make mistakes, but once the mistake is recognized, they work diligently to correct the error.
The inciting nature of the reference article is truly a one sided view of jaded conclusions of an embittered person. I hope all those who read this article accept it as suspicious view and in no way reflects the true professional operations within the county. My promise to the citizens is that I will work tirelessly to ensure proper candor, ethics and commitment are displayed by all who work on your behalf.
