Friday night the Hayfield boy's basketball team picked up an HVL Gold division win over Kasson-Mantorville by the score of 62-39. The Vikings got off to a great start in the first half and led 34-16 at half. They continued their dominance after halftime and built as big as a 30 point lead in the second half. Brady Kramer led the Vikings with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Cole Kruger added 13 points and five assists, while Jeremy Stuart collected a team-high eight rebounds to go with his 10 points. Hayfield made 8-18 three-pointers, while holding K-M to just 1-12. Trevor Anderson made three of the Vikings' threes.
On Saturday the Vikings hosted NRHEG and cruised to an 80-39 win. Hayfield built a commanding 52-22 lead by halftime. The Vikings were once again led by Brady Kramer, who tallied 21 points. Cole Kruger netted 19 points and Trevor Anderson added 14. Jeremy Stuart grabbed a team-high six rebounds to go with his 11 points. As a team the Vikings shot 53%, including 8-16 on three-pointers. They also only committed a season-low four turnovers. Hayfield hosted Stewartville Tuesday and then go to La Crescent Friday and Winona Cotter Tuesday.
